In recent years, Folkert de Jong has attracted significant international recognition for his striking, often unsettling installations and sculptures, created from materials such as polyurethane foam, silicone rubber, and Styrofoam. This publication accompanies his first major retrospective at the Groninger Museum, where an extensive selection of his work was presented. Alongside his well-known sculptural installations and texts, the book also reveals a lesser-known side of his practice, showcasing recent paintings and marker drawings.
